I like the way that this would soften the view on the page in the folder, making it far more like a gallery wall. The slight shadow to the text box helps that to stand out, in the event that the user wants to add a description to that folder, or even just tags so that a collection would be returned in search results. I like that you've explained how to change the code in order to remove that box in the event the user doesn't want to have the description in that folder. I also like the included field for your information as author of the code, and how it's not overstated.

The light pink on the title changing to a darker pink when hovered over is a very nice touch. And I like that the artist's name doesn't have a background behind it, as that creates a firm separation between the title and the artist name within the folder.

But I'm torn on the removal of the lit tags. I recognize that it's done for purposes of streamlining - I have written journal CSS that does the same. But with respect to a folder full of deviations by various artists, I prefer to be able to see the lit tag. Those of us who have individualized lit tags tend to be recognized by those tags, so having the tag there allows readers to recognize known writers at a glance through the folder. (Whether to read, or to avoid. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=";) (Wink)"/>) But the removal of that tag does make the thumbnails far more uniform and that certainly works in favor of this particular code.

I love that you've removed the RSS feed, and I can understand removing the symbols that come after the user names, especially with how often DA chooses to change them. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> I have to ask about the "mature content" image removal - do you mean that it filters them out of the folder if the filter is turned on? Such that if I implemented this, I wouldn't be able to see around an eighth of my own gallery? I choose to leave the mature content filter turned on as there are some things I simply don't wish to see. That said, I'm very conservative when applying it to my own works, so I'm just curious to know whether it would effectively remove my ability to view those pieces with the CSS enabled.

Taking out some of the other features, such as the shadows on transparent deviations and the external link style, were wonderful edits. Very nicely done with those! Like with the lit tags, I'm a bit torn on removing the prints icon completely. In that case, might there be a way to change it to something a little less obtrusive? Or perhaps change its location among the details? Maybe make it something that shows up only on rollover of the image, so that if someone is looking through my favorites folders and wants to know if certain works are available as prints, they'd be able to tell when rolling over it? That way it's not "in their faces" but still something that the artist doesn't feel like they may lose potential customers for it not being present. Just a thought for consideration.

Overall, though, this looks simply lovely! I definitely think you did a wonderful job creating it, and I'm sure a lot of deviants will truly enjoy this in their galleries and favorites folders. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> If you wanted to open commissions for gallery CSS, I definitely think you could get some customers for that. Beautiful work - thanks for sharing it!
